"Exceptional Gifts"

This year we made the biggest push ever to find artisans around the USA who are designing and creating exceptional home goods, seasonal decorations, and gifts. If you think you would like to give a "one of a kind" gift this holiday season, check out our new collection of goods made by artisans with exceptional gifts. We have just received a new collection of hand painted floor cloths, table runners and place mats. They are painted on heavy canvas and need only a wipe to clean. Floor cloths originated in the colonial period but are now making a come back. They can be used in front of sink, doorway, under dining table, under desk chair or anywhere you would like a colorful easy to maintain floor covering.

For a soft, warm and glorious addition to your home decor, come to see our new selection of hand braided rugs by award winning textile artist, Sally Arrigo. Sally's braided rugs have been selected by "Early American Magazine" as one of the best examples of hand braided, wool rugs in America. Sally has just brought in a fresh assortment of rounds, ovals and rectangular braids in a variety of wonderful colors. These rugs are strong and durable. They can easily be cleaned by putting a light dusting of snow on top and then sweep clean. In addition to the great selection shown below, Sally has also brought in a variety of rugs in various colors without the hooked centers shown below. Many of these additional pieces coordinate with the selection below.

Stop in to see the large birdhouses made by Rick LaChance in MO. Rick and his wife travel the countryside salvaging historic barns, homes, taverns and country stores that get knocked down to make way for new construction. Rick collects remnants of these early buildings and reconstructs them as "historic bird houses." These large, hardy little buildings will last for many years to come. These make an unusual gift for a bird lover.
