"Painting Parties"

Lots of fun happenings to tell you about. We will be starting "Painting Parties" in May in our studio in the barn. This is a fun new venue designed to bring out the artist in you. If you never picked up a brush or would just like to have a fun night out creating a folk art masterpiece, this is for you. We will all paint together. Johanne will create a model piece and will guide you step by step to the completion of your piece. In May, we will create a country spring painting in folk style.

Many have wanted to try their hand at folk painting but have not had the time to commit to a weekly class. Our "Painting Parties" will be once a month in our studio in the barn at Olde Ipswich Shop, 83 County Road. The next class will be from 6 pm - 8 pm on Thursday, May 16.

Complementary refreshments will include ice tea, wine, some apps and treats. Bring your mother, daughter, sister and friend for a fun bonding experience. This party includes canvas, paints, brushes and lots of painting guidance. You will have a fun experience, enjoy the camaraderie of friends and bring home a masterpiece. Bring an an old shirt or cover up to wear when painting.

This "Painting Party" would make a wonderful birthday or Mother's Day's gift. Call us for reservations. You can drop by to pick up gift card if this "Painting Party" is a gift.

Some of the seats for this party are already reserved, so please call Johanne asap: 978-356-8838. Payments of $50. should be made by cash, check, Visa/MC or Amex in advance of the class. We are planning to have a "Painting Party" every month in our studio. Johanne will post some of the paintings we will do in future in NewsBrush and on her FB page, Johanne Cassia, Folk Painter.

We will also bring the studio to you. You can arrange a party in your home or office. Call Johanne for details and pricing. This is a great experience for garden and book clubs. Johanne can bring this great team building experience to your office or company.  She has extensive teaching, facilitating and training experience.

CountryScapes Art
Where ever you live in the world, enjoy the "romance of New England." A friend recently said, "that my greeting cards allow the receiver a small touch of a very special place, a brief moment to experience the beauty of the seasons."

We are excited to announce the expansion of my greeting card line and the launching of our new company,  " CountryScapes Art". Our plan is to market to specialty shops, museum shops, catalogues, bookshops and online. My cards have already been offered at Winterthur Museum shop and Bennington Potteries. My prints have sold at the American Folk Art Museum, NY. We are excited to expand our offerings. We are open to suggestions and opportunities and hope you will contact us with possible locations that would have interest in my artist cards and prints.

We are actively looking for experienced gift and greeting card reps throughout the US. Our greeting cards are created from my paintings and they are printed on high quality paper in the US. We have realized from selling my artist cards in our shop that many feel that personal notes are an important way to communicate. A personal way to stay in contact. Please don't hesitate to contact me", 978-356-8838. Samples of my work can be viewed on
